#1138330: 4SICS SCADA event renamed CS3STHLM set for October in Stockholm

Description: Omnisiens, the organiser of 4SICS, has announced it is changing the name of the SCADA security event to avoid confusion with another organisation in Sweden.

The popular event, now heading into its fourth year, will be known as CS3STHLM.
CS3 stands for cyber-security, control systems and critical structures, while STHLM is the official acronym for Stockholm.

The summit will take place 24-26 October in Stockholm where top-level cyber-security experts from across the globe will gather in the old concert venue, Nalen.

Interest in the event is expected to grow while awareness of hacker attacks and vulnerabilities in IoT rises.

Some selected topics from previous years include in-depth analysis of the attacks against Ukraine, the escalation of IoT and hackable pacemakers.

“We changed the name because we had to, but we are convinced our target group will find us, and that it won't be such a big deal. Ticket sales are up and running, and we look forward to presenting yet another exciting mix of speakers and topics,” stated Erik Johansson and Robert Malmgren, Swedish cyber-security experts and owners of Omnisiens.
