#1170975: Summer & Fall Housekeeping Memo for United Nations Vienna Awareness Symposium and Porto eCrime Conference
Description: |
The second annual APWG Symposium on Global Cybersecurity Awareness Messaging posits the proposition that people can be engaged as a cybercrime suppression instrument. The symposium, hosted at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Vienna on August 30 - 31, seeks to inspire nation states, global enterprises and multilateral organizations to adopt scaled approaches to upgrading and maintaining ICT user behaviors in public-health models of intervention. APWG will be leveraging behavioral research presented at its eCrime conferences and eCrime Researchers Sync-Ups of past years for new and, we hope, enduring insights into programmatically managing behavioral dimensions of cybercrime. Presentations at this year’s awareness symposium cover: upgrading ICT user behaviors at scale; the measurement of user resilience to common cybercrimes; and the establishment and maintenance of a cybersecurity culture in different contexts. |
