#1268582: UK - Cyber Threat Summit 2019 - Mon, Nov 25 - Tue, Nov 26, , London, United Kingdom

Description: CyberThreat 2019 brings together the UK and Europe's cyber security community. Designed for security practitioners and spanning the full spectrum of offensive and defensive disciplines, the summit has a strong technical emphasis, including case studies from the field, new security tools and encouraging collaboration on bleeding edge techniques.

The two-day conference is hosted by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and SANS Institute and takes place at Riverbank Park Plaza, London. CyberThreat 2019 evidences the UK Government’s commitment to equip practitioners with the skills and knowledge required to defend against cyber threats and also addresses the cyber skills gap, by developing and growing talent. CyberThreat aims to deliver the best technical conference in Europe for cyber security practitioners.

In addition to presentations from world-renowned cyber security experts and rising industry stars, CyberThreat 2019 features many hands-on opportunities for delegates in the form of CTF events, team problem solving and “Hackathon” challenges against some of the latest devices and products.

“The whole event was world class; I haven’t experienced anything like it before at a security event. From the submissions of papers, pre-event communications, rehearsal, right through the whole event including introduction, speakers, CTF, evening reception and even down to the name badges (which could be ‘hacked’), I could not fault a single thing. It seemed that everyone at this event was very open and friendly, ready to collaborate to solve the CTF, discuss speaker sessions, or generally chat about topics they were passionate about. In many cases these individuals are the world-renowned experts in their field.

I would encourage anyone with a passion for cyber security to attend this event. Never have I witnessed so many like-minded individuals who are infused with passion, but also so friendly and welcoming. You will be sure to make many new contacts, as well as some new friends.”

- Graham Bartlett, Senior Technical Leader at Cisco
