#1643929: Risk Frontiers Benelux 2025 - Al & Geopolitics - A shift in power dynamics
Description: |
AI and its impact on the risk and insurance community has become a hot topic in recent times and will continue to be so for some time yet. Companies are falling over themselves to announce their latest investment or partnership to take advantage of this new phenomenon, but how much of the impact is positive and how much is cause for concern? What is certain is that AI will drive innovation, alter regulations and policy, and open discussion on ethics and accountability – all of which will change the risk landscape for risk and insurance managers in 2025 and beyond. At the same time companies in Europe are also facing up to an increasingly difficult risk environment because of increasing geopolitical risks from the conflict in Ukraine and the Middle East, recent and upcoming elections in the US and worldwide, the rise of India and the relative decline of China. The geopolitical arena is constantly shifting and offers challenges such as trade wars, reduced market access and supply chain issues, as well as increased cyber threat and investment risks. This year’s Risk Frontiers Benelux conference will untangle some of the challenges highlighted by these two interwoven topics. Hosted by Commercial Risk in association with Belrim and Narim, this annual meeting of European risk professionals will show that the need for innovative thinking has never been greater, and risk managers will improve their strategic planning, as they find out how to proactively mitigate, manage and ultimately transfer risk as they face the year ahead. |
